Video Marketing

Module 4: Video Marketing

This module is all about having them do video marketing for you.

With this, you need to understand your business.  I have specifically instructed them to make as high quality videos as they can, but sometimes, depending on who it is, just isn’t really capable of making high quality videos.  You need to monitor the videos they make at first to see if they’re up to your standards.

If your business is primarily marketing yourself and your personal brand, you’ll need to expect higher quality.         If your business is primarily marketing something else, where you don’t care about a personal brand, the quality can be lower.

I have given them lots of different ways of creating videos depending on their resources (having a microphone, a web cam, their ability to speak english) so that anyone should be able to create a video that’s acceptable to you.  The different videos will be more or less effective, but at least they’ll get done.

I have suggested to them to use 2 different video submission sites:

1. TrafficGeyser.com         2. TubeMogul.com

TubeMogul.com is free, so they can automatically do this.

I highly recommend you have a trafficgeyser.com account.  TubeMogul does a good job of submitting, but it doesn’t give nearly the options and won’t be as effective.  TrafficGeyser also provides some tools for them to be able to create videos really easily.

Everything I teach in this module can be done using free tools.  However, if you have camtasia studio, I suggest giving it to whoever will be creating the videos for you.  It’s a lot better than camstudio (camstudio.org).
The advanced video marketing training includes information about managing YouTube channels, designing creative YouTube channels, optimizing videos to perform well in the search results.
I also just wanted to make sure that you are aware that this training module is available in your myprojectplans.com account. In fact…that is the primary location where you should view modules….and the ONLY place that your employees should receive the training. (Your employees should never see replacemyself.com….only myprojectplans.com).
As such, I have decided to copy the project from myprojectplans.com here:

Part 1: Basic Videeo Training

This training is all about how to create and submit videos to online video sharing sites. The goal is to get people to watch our videos (the videos you or I create) and then get them to come to our website.
One of the things to always keep in mind is that if we don’t create high quality videos, or, videos that provide good content to people, they won’t come to our website. So, while we don’t have to have professionally done videos, they do need to make sense, and give a user a reason to come to our site. Don’t just put garbage videos out there.
The password for the video marketing training module is: VMM8974
Complete the training about how to create videos:

  1. Introduction Audio
  2. Creating a video using PowerPoint
  3. Creating a video using Animoto
  4. Creating a video from an article
  5. Creating a video sharing our website
  6. Creating a video reading a script

Part 2: Advanced Video Training

This training covers advanced video marketing strategies. You must already be skilled with creating and editing videos, as well as uploading those videos to YouTube. This training module does not trach basic video creation and editing tools.

As a final add-on to this, I would like you to educate yourself on other ways of doing video marketing.  This by no means covers everything.  Here’s a good webpage that describes more stuff:
http://www.masternewmedia.org/online_ma … 070503.htm
There’s all kinds of information out there about this.  I would like you to get good at it.  Get good at linking videos together so our videos show up next to each other in the “related” videos section of youtube.
Also, keep track of the views of our videos and let me know how they’re doing.  I want to know which videos work the best, which ones get traffic and which ones don’t.
Also, remember to link to our videos from the websites in our mini-net.  That will definitely help them show up in the google search results.
